Honestly new to coin collecting since my grandmother left me her coin collection 20 years ago. I just found the box she left me the first of the year and a lot of it is world coins, which I know nothing about. Someone please tell me if this coin is worth keeping or should I honestly go through selling it on ebay ? *** Link Removed ****** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. *** *** Edited by Staff - Added image ***

If it has sentimental value then I suggest you keep it.

I would end the listing NOW and have the coin stabbed if you think it is worth 950$.
Otherwise, let it run.

I say let the listing continue. Some of the slabbed ones I saw ended for about what yours is already at or less.
Considering you already have several bids from six different people and over three days left, I suspect it will go up and maybe dramatically.
Plus, I really don't like the idea of ending a listing with bids.

@jakes8 it holds no sentimental value at all. I was simply handed down the coins because I was the only collector in the family 20 years ago and held on to them. Until now, when I need to invest in other business ventures as I grow older. But this coin seemed good looking to me. Overall I guess I just don't want to get ripped off on ebay.

@Spruett001 I agree with you never want to ruin my growing reputation on ebay. I just never have slabbed any of my coins before and I figured that might be an investment in itself and leave me high and dry. Plus like you the slabbed ones that aren't AU are selling for maybe double my offer so far... I just havent been able to find out much about the coin on the internet, so I thought it might be rare.

@WesternSky does it seem to you like its in the $950 range? I know my opinion is bias. So I guess I just have to let it run.

I think the $950 comes from this: https://www.NGCcoin.com/price-guide...-6418-duid-0Please note that these values are inflated to retail or beyond and don't reflect the actual market. With your listing and pictures it's obvious that legitimate buyers will be fighting over it. If in doubt, you can always let the auction play out and see what happens. If you're not satisfied with the sold price you can cancel the order (a little shady but I did it once [not a coin] when I thought the buyer was going to make a boatload off of my lack of knowledge...my mistake). Just don't make a practice of it. I'm watching this listing (with no intention of bidding) to see what happens. Considering you got it for free and it holds no sentimental value, I think you'll be happy with the outcome. Edit: it seems the $950 comes from the OP first and also NGC. Post Edit: I sincerely hope you didn't create this topic to advertise your coin.

@Spruett001 that advice is exactly what I have been looking for! That's why I made this post... Not to advertise my coin. I just haven't sold on any platforms ever. When I collected I use to go to antique shops and back then they graded coins... so to see how things have changed in 20 years and to be a seller this time around, is completely brand new to me. I want collected so at the end of the day these do hold some value to me and of course nobody wants to get ripped off. I am simply reaching out to whoever & wherever I can before it's too late. I love the look of a slabbed coin and if I was to have one graded this would be the one. So I am just trying to weigh my options. I originally had the coin bidding at 399.99 & buy now for 699.99 but not to many people paid it attention and I couldn't understand why... Then when I couldn't find too much out about it on the internet it had me thinking. Maybe it's rare or maybe I'm overpricing it.
