The die is aging, I can see the flow lines in the fields. But it looks like the die was wiped down with a cloth and spread what ever thin layer around on the devices. Thus the widening of the tops of the tapered devices. No premium for these, but knowing what caused it is the value for it. Did you note how the devices looked wider? That was my clue that it was a grease issue on most of the die.

Still a saver to represent what happens when a die is used so long and has the grease too.

yep, I noticed the flow lines. Didn't realize that the overall reverse may have been affected by too much grease across the surface, hence the wider devices et al. Nice to know. Thanks Coop.

I would like to see some more images of this.
I can't tell for sure, and I have never seen it on a dime before, but it looks like it could be grease mold doubling.
