Looks like it is slight machine damage after the strike. But after looking on coppercoins the DDO's seem to be fairly weak that year on some of them. But what stands out as MD is on the date. If you would retake the image with a bit if diffusion (to reduce this, you might try a curtain of plastic grocery plastic to filter out the glare. It the light is too bright try a layer of bond paper or very think rice paper) to reduce the glare, it might helps us more. The 11 does look a bit like the 001 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mdsSo retaking the images to show how it compares with the CC images would be a start. Getting too close doesn't help. Some of the images look interesting, but too much light glare hides things. So you might want to retake these images compared with the die I mentioned. I'm not saying it is this die, but something to compare with.

But you are making progress. Are you taking the shot through the plastic bag? The plastic is to be placed between the light source and the coin. That filters out the glare on the coin. Then you take the image of the coin. (not through the plastic) The plastic is used to remove the glare on the light when it hits the coin.

Well nevermind this coin. I got something way better and I think it's the real deal you might want to check out my next thread, because I think I have the real deal of the 1984 P Double ear.

Justin, can you get another picture of the 2011?
Coop, how are you getting shield cents on copper coins? By default, the listings stop at 2006 for me, and I don't think I can get actual information and pictures on anything after maybe 2001. Thanks.

Fantastic! Thanks so much! I've been clicking through the dates individually, then just looking over shield cents for obvious errors. This is a lot easier.

Doesn't look like one, unfortunately. I use coppercoins.com, doubleddie.com, and lincolncentresource.com for the lincolns.
