I'm not new to coin collecting per se, but I have taken a recent interest in error coins, and that's an area I don't have a lot of experience with. I'm just gonna throw these pics out there, and welcome any and all comments.

Not the 8/7. The lower loop of the 8 would be half obstructed

The lower loop has been filled to some degree in all of them I've seen, and I've seen several 1918s with the top of the 8 clipped off. I've never seen one quite like this though, with the cracks radiating out from the top hole of the 8, and a straight edge on the right upper portion of the 8. I'm happy with it either way, but rich and happy is always better :-)

Mine does have the leg of the 7. It just got broken off during the stamp and landed just to the left of the 8 instead of the bottom loop

On the genuine the 7 comes down diagonally and almost fills the lower loop of the 8. That isn't the case on the OP coin.

Looks like the edges of the 9 & 8 have been altered a bit by moving metal around?
