1965 Mad Obverse Letters Sliding Off

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/01/2017 10:49 pm In 1969 they created a new master hub. But hub was spreading during the 1960's. When the die was showing heavy die wear, this became more evident on the coins. The last bad year for that master hub was 1968. Report this Post to the Staff

Druu Pillar of the Community United States 1000 Posts	Posted 02/01/2017 10:53 pm I don't think it's a MAD unless there's a lot of rim showing at the bottom. I've seen the motto nearly off the edge in a lot of 1960s cents, and didn't know why until Coop explained it. Report this Post to the Staff
