On the rim of the coin if the devices are mirrored like that, it is a contact from another coin that altered the coin. PSD. On the example from Mike Diamond's site that Pete provided, the devices are normal on the rim (from the die), not mirrored like you coin from transferred from another coin.

Just asking,But if it was a strike from another coin wouldn't the letters be pointing outwards from the coin instead of inward? Above the A in America it looks like the top of the C in CENT. I can't seem to get the letters to match up.
