1977 Kennedy Half Dollar Error? - Coin Community Forum

CollectingNoob94 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 02/03/2017 4:39 pm I'm new to this website, I have a 1977 Kennedy half dollar that doesn't have a mint mark, and has a bulge on both sides, as well as extra metal on the rim of the coin, pretty sure it's a mint error, any help is appreciated Report this Post to the Staff

Druu Pillar of the Community United States 1000 Posts	Posted 02/03/2017 6:57 pm no mint mark would mean it was minted in the Philadelphia mint. Halves minted in Philly had no mint mark until 1980, when they added the P mint mark on the obverse in the same location as the D. I can't visualize the other things you mention, but I'm inclined to guess damage. Could you post a picture of your coin? Report this Post to the Staff
