I would say no. It's been altered post-Mint. It looks a lot like this of mine:

Disturbed metal on the edge.

I'll be a contrarian and guess yes. I'm seeing a difference in the rims here -- spruett's coin looks like a rim was formed, then removed. The top coin doesn't seem to have a fully formed rim, and if missing material there could account for the missing date. If there wasn't a fully formed edge at the time of the strike, the material could have been pressed outward instead of filling the last two digits. It makes sense in my head, but I might be totally wrong!

Could be just the blurry picture and my tired eyes but it appears to have some doubling of some kind on the obverse MD or?

That's my highly blurry picture! Sorry, it was the best I had at the moment.

It's kind of cool what it looks like in the picture, kind of like the 1955 DDO!

Yes.

The rims taper correctly near the clip. The last digit is missing, there is weakness in the "4", and the right wheat stalk, which resulted from the metal flowing outward toward the clip. The edge is correct for end-of-strip, straight clipped coins; I have many like this. And the reverse shows some evidence of the Blakesley Effect (though this could have also been due to wear).

@coinlover1899

Please disregard my previously posted "comparison" and uninformed opinion. I agree with everything Druu and ErrorCoins said.

Great question. I enjoyed the responses. I agree that it is the real deal, too. Congratulations.
