Since the date is on the "back", I tried a special edit technique, but could bring out zero detail -- no ship, no lettering, no date.

It is worth melt.

Assuming by the the other comments it is being sold for more then melt.

If I could get it for melt I would counter stamp a date on the reverse and add it to my already full pocket.

I chose to preserve this 1892 as is.
