This happened to me as a seller. I offer combined postage on everything but I have to edit the invoice first. Sometimes it is better to let the seller edit the invoice as they know exactly the weight and dimensions of the parcel in order to give you a figure. If it is a standardised fixed figure for combining postage, then you could end up paying a lot more than you should.
Basically, its easier to do with coins. But if I sold a coin and then the same buyer bought a coin case, I can't have had the amounts put in before as it would be impossible to have combination prices for every item I list, if that makes sense? I always send a revised invoice, its just easier.
