I was looking through my Copper pile to fill a book and came across this. I am learning that if you see heavy die scratches from polishing....LOOK CLOSE for a clash.

This is the closest match I could find on Mad Die Clashes:

Thanks for looking...

Machine damage after the strike. You can see the flattening after the strike on this coin on the reverse.

I don't really see flattening? It looks like weak devices due to heavy polishing. Bay 2 clearly has the "Y" from liberty. I am not trying to argue with you Coop, you have been a wellspring of information since I've been on the forums. If this is not a clash, please help me identify why. I can provide more photos if necessary.

Thanks

Clash in bay 2, don't see clashing on obverse, though.

Thanks for clarifying Coop, I see the MD you were referring to. I did not notice it before, I was paying attention to the clash mark and missed the MD.
