I had stopped at the beginning of fall last year CRH of pennies and nickels. Had decided to move on to other areas, besides my bank kept asking me when I'd quit bringing in 5-10k coins each week for them to count!! After being on the forum hear for a few months, realized there were more to look for than the "biggie" DDO, RPM, WAM and oddball coins. A lot more to this error coin thang...went through 12 rolls so far, disappointing at best. Am finding mix of coins really stinks. Very few coppers, mostly nasty zincolns, @ 10% or less coppers. Of 600, no runs, no hits, no errors...had one very minor 1960D-SD RPM, but was so worn was hardly worth attributing. There was one 1964P (no DDR) in XF45 worth keeping as well as a 1942D corroded wheat. As my manor is, once I find a Wheaties, I quit for a while. Sorry can't post pix from this tablet. Haven't figured out how to get pix I do take to upload(ideas anyone?). More later this weekend?

Edit: again just love how this tablet interprets what I right, leaving it for now, sheesh!

Saturday update: have 10 rolls left, a little better but still not very impressed with this batch. Have found two 1951D wheats and one 2000P WAM (wide "AM") in XF/AU55, surprisingly. Will conclude tomorrow

Nice! I'm pretty bad with hunting for mint mark varieties. I think part of the problem is that most of the coins where they were hand punched have seen so much circulation, it's tough to make out unless it's glaringly obvious.

It took me about 5 boxes when I found my first Indian Head cent. Have not found one since. This was 2 years ago.

Finished last ten rolls earlier than thought...4 more wheats, 2-44p,45p & 53d (Total 7 this box) no RPM or DDR/O's, no interesting cuds/die breaks, Nada, zilch. Only redeeming quality from 2,500 was the one 2000P WAM. now there's one not sure of, wish I could post pix...its a 2001D that seems made on a proof planchet...has raised wirey rims and is evenly flat like a proof. Seen a few before like this, wonder if it is?

Carloscoria, likewise, in 2014 found one and only IH, 1886 type 2.

Druu, I've found some of the nicer of the D's (1959-1963) out of boxes (central US), but yes unfortunately circulation makes a mess of most.

G'night all, better luck next time!
