think I found a 1970 misprint quarter I live in roe ar a lot of history where I live. even where my house stands today has history anyways I was digin in my flower bed last week and dug up this quarter I had to clean and clean and clean some more to get it to where I could half way the I in the word in is faded and 1970 on bottom is faded and around the edges one side is smooth and the other side has the ridges and in the middle I guess is copper I also dont see a mint mark anywhere and iv studyed and studyed this coin some of the pics Iv came across searchin the net looks like the coin

It appears to have soaked in acid. Post mint damage.

First off, both sides please. Next, what is the area of question on coin, any answer is our quesses. I will guess...that you question the weak and missing letter/digits? If so, its either wear, damage post mint or could possibly be a "greased die", but not so sure of that. Keep practicing on your pix!

It does look like it had a soak in acid. What do you think is an error?

If you found it digging, then the appearance (after being cleaned up) would be consistent with a coin that has spent a good time in the ground. Corrosion on top of circulation wear before it found its way into the dirt.
