I picked up this coin today and don't know anything about it. I was told it is Bactrian and was told it was authentic. Any help authenticating or getting information on it would greatly help this newbie. Thank you

So 100% fake for sure? I am going to go back and try and get my money back.

Never say never, but pretty sure, yes. If you're comfortable waiting for more opinions here, give it a little time and check back later.
But, in my opinion: good move trying to get the refund.

@Clinesmith, first welcome to CCF. Second, could you please post a pic of the edge of your piece? Bob and Echizento are wicked smart dudes about this stuff and so if they are concerned about it being fake, then you should be too. For me, I would find it instructive to also see the edge.

Looks too perfectly round, w/o edge flaws IMHO, don't know a thing about this era fakes!

Quote: Looks too perfectly round, w/o edge flaws IMHO, don't know a thing about this era fakes! Well, Crazyb0, you just proved that, in fact, you do know at least one important clue in detecting fakes of ancients. You are absolutely correct that a perfectly round flan, with no edge variations, is concerning. Not a condemnation by itself, but when coupled with other issues like off-styling and soft features (indicative of casting) it's a red flag.

Does it feel greasy in the fingers? - an indication of a cast copy. Details look mushy and indistinct, indicating a cast copy.
If there is copper in the alloy, skin oil will react with it and produce the classic coppery metallic smell.
