2000 D LMC with nose and chin protruding too far and a doubled lib with lips slightly apart . I also included a normal lips, chin and nose to compare the two . Any ideas on this one?

Hey Potbelly! I think you're trying toooo hard to find new errors! I'll agree it may look odd, but let's think of possibilities here. Chances are its normal, we're just missing the reasons. This one, notice a slight MAD, punched off right at an angle too. It may be weaker struck on right side, see shadow @ upper lip? I think that's what happened here.

May have been a modified die, like polishing.

Thanks crazybo polishing would explain why the upper lip meets the nose at the back of the nose I stead of in the middle and the lips look open a bit . Thanks for the input . This is all new to me so it's gonna take me a while to think of the simple answer first .

The top of the lips are damaged. Note how that area is flattened. The area next to the lips is a die scratch. Die scratches in the open fields flatten with time. Die scratches next to devices and inside of devices last a lot longer. Thus that is the remain part of a die scratch.

Again coop thank you . I know most of the things I post are considered junk coins to the serious collectors but I am a very inquisitive person and when I see something that looks different I try and find out why and thanks to everyone on the forums help I am learning a lot but the main thing I learn is I that I have so much to learn . I have barely scratched the surface . You are all great teachers !
