Looks like it is almost there but not quite. Problem is that it has almost a full date. Still FR02 for me.

It may have had a spot removed to right of Ms. Liberty's wrist.
I think that it's a Fair 02. Getting these things into no problem PCGS holders is not that easy from what I hear. PCGS has its "worst known" registry and seems to control the supply of these things in their holders.
As an old time collector who prefers nice coins, those whole "poorest known" thing doesn't make much sense to me. As a young collector I spent my time avoiding low grade stuff.

Agree FR-02, and while not my cup of tea, it's always interesting to see coins this old and worn that somehow escaped the melting pot over their long lives.

It's not an O-mint coin, it's a Philly mint, and would make Fair. Looks like someone brought out the old pencil eraser on the obverse.

Thanks for the replies - I don't know how I conjured up a mintmark in my head. Perhaps because I was also looking at some O mint Morgans at the same time?
