1857 Flying Eagle Cent - Is It Snow #16

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 02/18/2017 8:17 pm I recently purchased this 1857 FEC with a big Die Cud on the wing. It this Snow #16? Unfortunately with the wear, the MPDs are going to be very tough to see, as they're basically in the center of the breast right where the wear is. Very interesting variety that could easily be missed if it wasn't for the prominent Cud in the middle of the eagle's left wing. Too bad that the coin is so worn that the MPD's are almost gone.
