A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a presidential memorial to honor Dwight D. Eisenhower in Washington DC.

It's interesting to see at time 03:14 (in the video) the placement of a bronze medal that resembles, but is larger than the 1953 official President Dwight D. Eisenhower inauguration medal.

The dedication of the Memorial is in 2019 on the 75th anniversary of D-day (June 6, 2019).

The entire Eisenhower series of Dollar coins are memorial to this man. The inauguration medal is also often a part of collector's Ike dollar collections (as are other Ike medals). There will be a large medal replicating this medal at the new memorial.

The caribou has appeared on Canadian coins for eighty years.
It has arguably done as much for this country and mankind as Ike did for his.
Would it be appropriate for me to posts topics and links to rallies in support of this endangered species in this section of the forum simply because their image appears on our money?

This might have been more appropriate in the medals forum, as that is the tie-in, or even the US NCLT forum, as the medal is part of lat year's Eisenhower C&C set. However, I will make it more relevant by saying that it would be nice if this memorial had something that mentioned the Eisenhower dollar. Perhaps they can tie it into Ike's contribution to the space race and the moon landing which is also celebrated on the dollar.

Doubtful.

And don't forget the Eisenhower Centennial dollar.
