Hi, brand new to the forum here. Would like to invite opinions on what a very clean, and near nick free, 2003-D Penny might be worth. I listed it on ebay with a starting bid of $34.95 and a B.I.N. of $49.95, and it is generating some interest. Have not had it appraised, but have seen a few others online that have been certified as MS67s which do not appear to be as blemish-free as mine. Just want to be sure not to undersell, though realize it may not be more than just another pretty penny. Thanks for offering your two-cents worth...

Thanks all for your comments! Sorry about the initial blurry photos, uploaded some sharper ones (please see bottom of post) along with photos of the same date coin that someone else had certified and is selling on ebay.

For it to sell for any decent amount, it would have to be graded by a respectable TPG and be at least an MS-68RD.

Your coin may be but the pics are too blurry to tell.

The pictures aren't great, but I honestly believe you're overgrading by a good bit. I see some small dings on the rim and scratches on the reverse. The obverse is cloudy around the rims. There is visible wear on the bottom of Lincoln's bust and on the high parts of his face -- the cheek and beard, especially. I'm usually just a spectator in the grading section of the forum, but I believe this knocks the coin out of the MS range entirely and down to AU at best.

If you are getting many views on ebay, I think they're the clicks of the curious who are intrigued by what seems like an unusually high price. Coins in this condition can still be found in change, unfortunately.

Too me it's worth one cent. Is there something special about it? If I needed this year for my collection I'd shop around and buy something like this for a dollar+free ship

I think you have a nice red MS Lincoln . However if you want to sell it at that high price it would need to be certified ,PCGS or NGC . Sharper photos might convince me that's the way to go . But right now save your slabbing fees .
