A recent pick up, it was in an old cruddy plastic flip that smelled like mildew, stored for years...but the coin was nice!

IMHO this is an MS details - improperly cleaned coin. The metal on the face of liberty is not smooth but looks raised. Especially to the left of the nostril. Don't know what caused it, but the coin appears to have surface problems. It is a shame because it has MS details and is a very nice coin. The reverse lettering exhibits strong doubling.

It would have been drop dead gorgeous if it weren't for the crappy rims . An MS coin mishandled ? What would you call it ? sure is a beauty multi colored Dime !

Solid MS64. This is a late die state with substantial die erosion, accounting for the surface and rim appearances. It also has quite a bit of Strike Doubling on various parts of the legends, most notably on ONE DIME.

I'd say MS-64, maybe dipped and retoned with some album toning. There is a chance this has not been dipped and that it is natural, but I'd have to see it in person.
