Picked this one off ebay a couple weeks ago for 100 bucks. The pictures looked a lot better before I uploaded them and it's actually a pretty nice coin was wondering what the thoughts were on grade and value.

AU details - intentionally damaged. It is a high grade coin but someone decided to redesign the shield on the obverse. The pock marks there aren't accidental as they follow a very intentional pattern. Shame as it is otherwise a very pretty coin.

It's interesting how the same thick/thin shield lines occur on the reverse, too, but the angle is different. There's some funny stepwise irregularity going on with the outer edge of the coin, obverse side. Could this be some sort of artifact from image processing?

Thanks for all the replies on this coin, I Fixed the pictures now, something went wrong with the resizing that distorted them the first time.

Great hair detail! XF-45. Probably lightly cleaned long ago. I do like this one. Especially with the new pictures!

Holy cow! Is that the same coin? What happened to all the marks on the shield and ribbon?

I am at AU50 for the new coin.
