I quit going to Torex 5-6 years ago. I prefer the Coin Expos there on Yonge at the library. I was a regular at Torex for well over 10 years when it was on the waterfront at the Radisson.

I think I can speak for Okie.....
because it's a lousy show.
The Library show is so much better.

oh trust me..i think the coin expo aka library show is leaps and bounds better than torex..i talked to the owner/creator of it and he's one nice guy. i still attend torex, to me missing a show is close to a sin haha

I quit Torex because the owner of the CCRS site was the son of the owner of Torex and he made some poor decisions. Then she (Mrs Smith)handed the reins of Torex over to Brian as well. The CCRS owner, Brian, changed the dynamics of the site ... allowing no bad words for ICCS or a certain author or other topics that used to be open to discussion. Some very valuable members were tossed out, so 10-15 of us quit and we asked that he take down our posts as well. I think, between the all of us, we removed over 12,000 posts .. I had nearly 5,000 myself. These concerned research and data and population reports and some really neat discoveries. All lost by website because the administrator considered Torex friends more important than coin discussion. Since he was the same person who ran Torex, we all quit that as well. We were coin-show-poor until the Expos started.

Torex...the demise of a once great coin event and a once great coin forum.

I've never been to a coin show and was thinking of going, but now....I might hold off for the Coin Expo library thing. When is the next one?

There are lots of smaller good shows like Oshawa, Guelph, Brampton etc smaller but sometimes find cooler things due to some dealers attend the smaller shows, just look in CCN for show dates.

Okie, the CCRS site is still running and is doing a booming business with as many posts already in 2017 as in all of 2016. TWO ! The site should be renamed the Brian, Rick, and Conley Show. It's on my favourites list and I check in every couple of months to see when it will cease to exist. Note to self - don't tell the moderator to grow a pair or you'll be persona non gratia.
