Today I went to cash in some change, and I checked the reject tray. I found a 1954-D silver Roosevelt dime. I've tried checking the reject bin twice, the last time I found a 1964 dime. So 2 for 2, I've found silver. I'll have to go back more often.

The Commerce Bank I dump my searched change at has a PVC pipe as the reject shoot to the reject tray. Coins stick in there all the time. I always reach up in there and find something.

It's usually a foreign coin, I have a whole tray of them now from the reject pipe at that Commerce.

i work for commerce. I'm not allowed to keep rejects I find at work, but I always dump my coins at other commerces and nearly every time find something whether its in the pvc reject shoot stuck to the magnets in the hopper. One machine I know of regularly rejects small size dollars and every so often ill stick my hand up there and find dozens of them. Silver coins are sometimes rejected and two thirds of my silver dimes and quarters have come from the reject shoots. The oldest thing ive ever found up one was a 1891 1 ore coin from sweden.

i was at the store this week and walked past the green machine looked in as I always do and pulled out a AU or better 1975 1 pfennig coin from the DDR (east Germany) woohoo I went there in 79 and didn't keep anything. ( I was in the military and we was not allowed to bring back anything and even had to look straight forward when crossing the check point charlie) something about a show of power I don't know lol OK I got that out and brought back memories long forgotten
