Hi, my name is Dan. I'm new to this forum and I am hoping someone can help me out.
I have a Massachusetts Bay Tercentenary John Endecott Medallion by Laura Fraser that I have to sell for my late cousins estate. Before I sell it I wanted to get some idea of its value. I have found some information about the medallion on the internet but nothing to indicate what the value might be. Is there anyone that might be able to help me out.
Thanks
Rest in Peace

From my limited research it appears this medal is something special. Mintage of about 200 which means they're not a frequently encountered item.

This link mentions a sold price for one in 2010 http://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...tt-128668461

Further down, it mentions that in 2008 one sold for $575 and a different one sold for $632.50

My suggestion is to contact Joe Levine at Presidential Coin & Antique to see what he says its value is. He is a well-known dealer of medals http://www.maineantiquedigest.com/c...idential.htm

I agree that Joe at Presidential is a good source of information about the medal's value. I also think the medal would do well in one of his annual auctions. I would definitely give him a call.

For the record, I purchased mine via ebay years ago for much lower than the prices quoted on WorthPoint. I say this only to note that selling the medal on ebay is potentially riskier than working with Joe.

For those unfamiliar with the medal, here's the one in my collection.
