Although there are hundreds of varieties of these medals, this is something I've not seen before. The central Royal crest is supported by five shield roundels, and I can't identify any of them.

I have a couple of these.
one is similar to your medallion and the other one I have is in Silver with a portrait on either side of the medallion.

It's the reverse. I've never seen similar.

Is that a beaver in the upper right quadrant of the circle that appears at 4 o'clock?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Is that an official medallion?
Because the busts are pretty "Ordinary" the woman's bust looks nothing like Queen Mary and the Kings beard just looks "Wrong"

"Official" memorabilia for royal occasions had been outnumbered 10:1 since the early years of Victoria's reign. I do like the suggestion from DBM about the beaver, so this is maybe a Colonial piece.

These look to be Crests. My guess is that if someone took the time to research this they would find they are crests of either the noble families or regions they come from.
