The first one is a 2015 with something protruding from the east side of Monticello.
The second is a bit more confusing(to me). There is also something protruding from the east side of Monticello,But the confusing part is it looks like the S is upside down! Any help with these 2 coins is greatly appreciated!

They look like die chips, I've found some like this before.

The first coin I can agree with you on, But the second I can't. To me that's clearly part of a letter hanging out there.

I think they're both chips. A dropped letter would be incuse. The 2013 might be a reverse Trail Die. It might just be the pictures, but with light from a different direction, it may be similar to my 2012 5DER 010T shown here:
