The color looks questionable. Toning down the middle on the obverse and the opposite effect on the reverse? I would return it. You can do better for that kind of money on heritage. It just takes some patience.

Well that's better. Just don't want you to be disappointed if it comes back with a details-questionable color grade. I've been noticing more of those at auctions recently. They sell at a discount.

I don't know about the toning on the dime, but the toning on the seller's cents is faked. They exhibit the same color I got from taking CRHed cents to a stove burner. (I didn't try to pass them off as anything. They're mixed on my jug of coppers now.) [edit: I actually did want to chime into the dime discussion. You can heat tone into a bullseye. Just check out this hack: http://www.ebay.com/sch/rippasaurus...047675.l2562 All of his current listings are heat toned "BU" junk silver Roosevelts. If you get into his sold listings, there are some with bullseye toning. Now, if this amateur can figure it out, I'm sure someone with more experience would have no qualms about working on a seated liberty. Caveat: I have no idea what heat toning one side would have on a naturally toned opposite side.)

The peripheral toning looks like my avatar, so I have to say natural album toning, and beautiful!

I would feel confident it's not AT if comes back with a grade and not the dreaded "questionable color" tag

I like it as well. Price wise so have no idea if that's good or bad. It doesn't have any tell tail signs that it's AT.

Lots of not so nice comments on this ebay seller on various coin forums in the past year from consignors that want their money. I'd be very cautious, maybe get an expert opinion on the toning before the return period runs out. edit: Looks like the same coin sold on 2-12-2017 for $381.18. Possibly multiple high bidders passing on this coin.

The high bidder passed on buying it, and I got a second offer, so I offered a lower amount, $310

With eBay/Paypal buyer protection you are covered but........
