Apparently the dies for that year were horrible. Practically every 1960 nickel I have looked at has bad md . Report this Post to the Staff

I knew this one wasn't doubled die variety I put it on here because I was amazed how much md was present it's on every device on both sides of the coin . The info you gave me will come in handy if I ever find a nickel that isn't lds or vlds but so far I haven't found one . But right now I'm looking at 1999 and back . coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/26/2017 10:20 pm The ones I usually search are proof nickels. But even they can show die wear on them with just 3,000 coins struck per die. (6,000 strikes as the coins are struck twice) Report this Post to the Staff
