So this is coin you related (sorry) but thought I'd try my luck here since there seems to be so many experts here on anything silver. I've got this necklace I'm trying to find out where it's from/ what it is and am having trouble doing so. I thought maybe knowing what the hallmarks are might help. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Keepcalm. Can I see a photo of the necklace. I'm a silversmith and have dealt with a lot of different styles of jewelry. I may not know the designer but from the style I may be able to tell you from where it came, country or region.

Thanks,
Blair

Necklace itself isn't silver, just the clasp.

The clasp looks like a commercially made clasp manufactured from the 1940s through to the 70s or later. You see that clasp often on vintage Mexican jewelry especially from Taxco. I don't believe the maker of the clasp made the necklace. As for the necklace it appears to be tiny seed beads. This design is still made in Mexico as well as among the Navajo of New Mexico and Arizona. It appears to be vintage but how old I couldn't say.

As far as I know, the best place for experts in hallmarks is The Online encyclopedia of silver marks, hallmarks, & makers marks

@GABatGH, I just stumbled on this website

when looking for something else and thought of KCCO's thread. I see now that you have already recommending it for finding this hallmark. Nice work!
