Still trying to figure out how I was the only person bidding on this one... I paid nearly $20 for my Soter Megas, and it wasn't significantly better than these...

But, after a few months of bidding wars for Roman silvers, it feels good to get a bargain again!

Hi Finn,

I have lots of Kushan coinage and great to find someone else that is interested in these coins. I have a book (Kushana Numismatics) which has a great history of Kushan Empire and its coins. Nice to sometimes collect coins that others overlook. CNG for example, seems to struggle to sell Kushan bronzes. I've seen them go without any bids in their auctions.

Here's my Soter Megas: http://www.ancientcointraders.com/i...gas.49_2.jpg

I don't mean to sound alarmist but the patina on the one in the right looks a little unusual. Probably wait until you get it in hand and can inspect it closer.

I also collect Kushan coinage and coins from the eastern empires. Four really nice coins for a great price.

Great pick-ups @finn! Yes, being a bit of a contrarian bidder can be a nice thing.
