Fake imo. You can see the outline of the area where they altered this coin. Also, when they put a question mark in the title after stating the error, it's usually because they're trying to play it off. Or at least that's what I've seen on ebay

Really hard to tell from the photos... but it has been listed and relisted for some time now... for me, it just looks almost too good for plugged die or strike-through, because the fields should be affected as well...

I was kinda thinking fake too. I have never seen anything like this before. The seller should probably remove it.

I am pretty sure we have discussed this coin here before, but couldn't quickly find the discussion.

You can see where they accidentally removed parts of the maple leaf while removing the date and denomination.
