Don't know what that is , a rim Cud? There's a bit at top oh head too. You got too good eyes, dude! I must never see those things when I CRH!

Apparently crazybo you have better eyes than I! I didn't even see the one at the top of the head . I don't think it's a Cud because if you look at it from a lower angle it looks like you can see under it like it's folded and it's kinda gnarley . I'll get better pics in the morning from a lower angle .

To me it looks like it was struck though debris and now it is moving on the coin?

Thanks coop and coincollector200 . Whatever it is it's been on this coin for almost 50 years . As you can see it's kinda laying on top of the letters but it could be debris that has come lose from the coin I need to look at it under better magnification and see if I can see a seperation line on the rim side .

A folded rim to me would still be attached on one side. I'm not seeing that on your coin. I'm seeing both sides loose like you would expect to see on a struck through debris.

Should I take a toothpick and try and loosen this ? So we can see for sure or is that a no no ?

I would keep it as a struck through. If you remove it on this one, there would be no premium for it. If it were a nice large one, it could be a collectable if both were kept together.
