PMD? Need closeup, cant tell if that's on or in? Since parallel lines am thinking this was vise job coin used to imprint reverse image onto a second coin?

It does look incuse from the lighting and it looks like Lincoln is weakly struck, especially around the bridge of his nose and the tie.

"LIBERTY" is pretty deformed in general.

My early guess is a planchet error prior to striking.

A closer shot would be helpful. I popped over to "view image" and increased the digital zoom. It looks consistent with a peeled lamination to me. Spruett pointed out the weaker facial features on Lincoln, consistent with the top layer of a lamination being lost.

Can you see under the edge on the right side? I would like to see a larger view of this coin. How is the weight? A closer view of the motto letters the last 3 on both sides.

It is best to cut off the extra space around the images. That way a larger image will upload.

Thanks for the extra images. It looks like the central part of the coin peeled off after the strike. The bust is showing a weakness on that area. This coin is a keeper for a lamination collector. First time I've seen that much missing on a lamination.
