Yeah, I would pass on that coin. All the cleaning scratches will make that coin very hard to re-sell if you need/want to.

with all, 1st thing I saw was the heavy duty scratch patterns, both sides...Brillo pad, ugh!

Stuff like this is really sad. I don't know how people like this get any coins sold. Super over inflated grades, with over inflated prices. Anything legitimately graded get like 50% above trend price tags. I'd stay away from the seller in general.

I believe if reported the ad will go down. You can't have a grade stated on ebay unless graded by one of the accepted TPG (PCGS, NGC, ANACS, ICG, ICCS, CCCS, etc)

I imagine a lot of these people's sales are as the result of inexperienced collectors, of people buying gifts for collectors in their lives.

Doesn't really matter what grade it is, just that it is harshly cleaned.

A seller who describes that coin in their ebay heading as "Mint State 65" is either:

1. totally ignorant of grading, or

2. an expert in mendacity.
