DIE CLASH! I agree with everyone else's response, but since you asked for more information, I get to ramble on a bit! A die clash is what happens when the dies strike each other without a planchet between them. Impressions are made on both dies when this happens. Sometimes they catch it and polish the clash marks off the dies, leaving an abraded die and only faint hints of the clash. Your coin looks to be off a fresh clash, before the mint employees got to it with a polishing bit. The slang term for a Lincoln Memorial cent (1959-2008) die clash is "prisoner cent" because it looks like Lincoln is behind bars. I have included an image for you to compare your coin to. It's an overlay of the obverse and reverse dies, so you will be able to see where to look for specific clash marks. Congratulations on your find! Die clashes are my favorite type of error to find! It's a bit of a bummer that you have a carbon spot on the reverse.

Carbon spots show on copper cent planchets. This one is a plated zinc coin, so it is probably has been stained.

Zabdiel, you could try soaking it in acetone to get the goo off. Acetone is safe for coins.
