I think it's a 1884 wheat/indian penny, but hard to tell. I'm sure that the damage is due to it's age, but I just wanted to make sure before I just toss it aside. I noticed that when you turn coin upside down, it sort of looks like another face. Could it be an error or just damaged? Anyones thoughts would be great! Thanks.

Appears to be just damage. In that shape, its probably only worth about face value.

I'd say it is only damage. It does also appear to be an 1884.

There's really no numismatic value.

This is an Indian Head cent ,not a Wheat cent . The wheat cents weren't minted until 1909 .
