Well I see a coin and arrows, but can't see what you are seeing yet. Try cropping the image to get a larger version of what you are seeing. Good close ups are great. Images with 3-5 devices per image are best as we can see what is really going on with you coin. The area in question on the nose, I've not seen a doubled die in that location yet. It is usually machine damage with die movement after the strike.

I have seen examples where the area around the mouth was a doubled die, but also that area showing that area affected with MD.

Note the nose on the image to the right? Do you see the that area was reduced in size with the MD. The only example I can think of where the tip of the nose that was affected is on the 1955P-1DO-001:

So other than that doubled die, most of the time it is MD. So images of that area would be helpful.

to the forum. If you are using an iPhone you can crop the image to size on your phone first then you won't have to use the image optimizer on this site-you will be able to upload that cropped image directly with no problems

Now that is MD, plain and simple, not a DDO or OVD!

Are MD worth anything or should I just spend it?

Save it for the copper. The copper is worth more than a cent. I keep all mine.
