pulled up to bank the other day, asked about halves as usual big surprise, had 630$ of them.... wow. Bank rolled? Whats that? mmmmm. Told them what I wanted; let me check.... have 6. I will take them.. happy happy. Maybe, now just wondering. Let me first say that I am about as new to this as can be, and I mean new, but beginning to really get addicted. Study, read, study read. So here is where the opinions and help is greatly appreciated. I purchased 6 rolls, 3 dates 2003, 2008, and 2009 .... a Denver and Philly in each of those dates; and they are in original mint wrappers. So, do I open them or what? If they were in just plain wrappers would have dove right in there, but mint wrappers have got me wondering. Saw were the coins by themselves are not really any rare thing, but then again within the rolls may be a real gem. Or do I just put them up for sale as is? any and all help would be greatly appreciated please. thank you

Not really a half guy myself, but the 2003 and on 50c were not issued into circulation so,...if those are indeed rolled "fresh" you may have some nice coins inside. The mint issued these years to collectors, sound like you may have got an inheritance bank dump, family cashed in on dead relative. Consider before you open, someone may pay a premium for those, don't know? Good snag, got $140 from two banks in my town nothing but a bust, had 3 different penmarks, different eyes looking before me...

to the family BTW!

to CCF!

Have fun with those Kennedys. I would leave the mint-rolled as-is as they are probably worth more as a roll. If you're trying to fill an album, then I'd consider breaking them.
