Altaira Pillar of the Community Canada 2517 Posts	Posted 03/06/2017 02:14 am The Indonesian note is no longer legal tender as of December 2016. Indonesia regularly demonetises their old currency, though I'm more than certain low denomination notes like that are widely hoarded. I've read that Indonesia has just released a series of coins with the same old denominations, and started printing Rp 1000 notes again (though I've yet to see any of these around). Why, I have no idea. They are worth so little each, people literally sellotape a bunch of Rp 100s and 200s to make change. Can't even buy candy with Rp 500 now. Report this Post to the Staff
