I searched through $300 in rolls today. I found 11 full rolls of uncirculated beautiful 2002 and 2004 halves. They are a mix of P and D I think. I didn't pull them totally out of the rolls and immediately pushed them back in and closed the rolls.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should sell them and what prices should I expect to get? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

You may wish to hang on to them, and when you've been here long enough to qualify for trades, offer to trade them for those other NIFC halves that you need. Chances are someone out there will be interested. At my end I have a surplus of 2007 halves that I am hanging on to for the same reason. And yes, since I have the requisite posts, I need to offer them up.

They would have to be VERY high grade coins (MS-68 or better) to be worth selling.
And they would have to be slabbed for people to be convinced of that high a grade.
If you send them in for grading, even to ANACS, and they don't reach that lofty level you will lose money.

Ok thanks for the input. Since I am not a true coin collector, I will look through them for blemishes and send them back to the bank. I understand that a very high grade is basically blemish free so that should be easy enough. Thanks again.

I checked one of the major wholesalers buy lists and they are paying 17$ a roll for 2004 bu halfs. Not a fortune, but a quick profit can be had. Good luck!

You should be able to get something between 2-4x face for them on ebay depending on how you sell them. I've sold quite a few BU NIFC halves singly for $1.99 each. You could probably get $20 per roll for them if you sold them by the roll.

Out of curiosity, which coins do you have the hardest time finding? Until recently, I was having a very hard time finding 2007-P coins (I found several in a couple of boxes the past couple of weeks). The 2004-P, 2008-D, and 2011-P coins remain hard for me to find. Strangely, the coins I have in quantity are the 2009-P and 2009-D coins - the only two dates I've found a roll or more of.
