I don't think the term "woody" includes roller lines. (Edited)

That is an interesting article PBP. It is full of different theories of the cause of stripes on coins. The fact is though, no one knows the cause for sure. I think it's okay to pick one, or come up with one of your own to believe. I just think it's wrong to say any of them is the cause. Newbies come on here all the time, most of them are like sponges and I think we owe them better than that. jmo

I understand coinmasters. I think it would probably be best for me to not post anymore of these until it's better understood because it has seemed to stir up debate every time . I am a newbie and I don't have enough understanding of the minting process to even have a plausible theory . I have some ideas but until I understand more they will stay in my head as just that .

It's up to you to post what you want or not PBP. I just think it's best to call a horse a horse.

Got it coinmasters so I need to pick one or the other and not call it both. I had another a while back I posted and some called it roller lines and said it wasn't a woody and others said it was a woody so I was a little confused in thinking they were the same. Thanks for the advice!

You can believe any theory you want PBP. You also don't have to believe any theory. A theory is just that though, a theory, not a fact. Quote: I need to pick one or the other and not call it both. I wouldn't call it either one.

I don't think there's any here in Virginia either. I'm not sure, I think they might live in South America or maybe a Rain Forest? China?

If its from China and it's a coin koala it may be counterfeit lol ! Only way to know for sure is take it to a local coin koala dealer and have it verified.
