I went to the little coin show in Milwaukee this morning. I was not planning on spending much money, but two coins caught my eye. I picked up two Indian Head cents: 1860 and 1866 Both BU. I paid $355 for the pair. So much for being a broke college student eh? I will get pictures up soon (I'm feeling a little sick, gotta go lay down) EDIT: The pictures are really bad, but I'm not about to take them out of the holders and put em on a scanner. The scanner loses all of their luster, and every mark that you see if something the scanner picked upon the holder. These coins really are beautiful in real life. 1860: 1866: Try to guess what I paid for each one! :P Edited by HippieOutcast 04/05/2008 09:25 am

Are you feelin' sick because of the two IHP's ?.....or the loss of the money while going to college and realizing it's money you shouldn't have spent that you're going to need? Or do ya have the flu bug that someone gave you at the Coin Show when you put your hand on a bacteria infested door handle while entering/exiting the premises?........ just kiddin' ......can't wait to see the pics !...

IHC's are new to me. Are these keydates or why were they so expensive(in my head)/cheap (in yours)? hah

The 1866 is a pretty key date. Its like a middle range coin.
The 1860, is just cool to me because it is copper instead of bronze, and also thicker. Its not really key, but its not one of the cheaper dates either.
And as to me being sick, I actually have either food poisoning or the flu. So pictures will have to wait till later.

HO, get better! There's some nice varieties for those dates as well, so I'll look forward to pics and seeing what you got!

I went to the same show today. It runs tomorrow too and is found at the Baton Rouge Hall of the Wyndham Hotel right by the airport (address I think is 4747 Howell if you want to Mapquest it). There were about 60 or dealers there so it was decent.

I almost had my car headed to the airport to take in this show; we haven't had a show here in years. We have an airport hotel on Howell Blvd on the 4700 block here in Baton Rouge. It is a good thing I read CoinHunters post again......LOL

Nice looking coins. Appears that there is a small Cud on the 1860 up in the 12-2 o'clock region?

$10 and $8 dollars. They are really sweet though. My guess is probably way off.
