Sorting through my pocket change at lunch and came across this little guy and saw the LIBERTY lettering looked strange, so I did a comparison of two 1987-D dimes to see if there were any differences or similarities... Tell me what y'all think

Die Deterioration towards the outside of the rim? The picture isn't very sharp, but it looks like there are die flow lines on the fields as well.

Yes, that is the description I was looking for, if you look at the L and I, they are wide at the top of the letter and slim at the bottom
