I stumbled upon this ebay guide, and it indicates the author is " ebay".

I found it to be less of a guide that covers the title subject and more of an advertisement for using ebay.

I was also amused that the #2 best gold coin for investment, in their opinion, was a 1933 $10 gold eagle - this one:

Here's ebay's guide, what do you think of it?

The guide isn't very interesting, seems to be written by somebody who doesn't have a good knowledge of US gold; and you're right, it does seem to be an advertisement for using ebay.

"Coins" magazine has had many issues lately pointing out certain USA gold coins that are a "best buy" for the money like the Coronet $5 gold pieces from 1894 until the end of the series in 1908. Plus the 2006 San Francisco Old Mint $5 gold and The Elizabeth Jones 1986 Statue of Liberty gold $5 coin and the 1987 Constitution gold $5 coin are a good buy according to the magazine April 2017 issue. I think the commemorative bullion coins go for around $350 with spot price of gold today around $1200. That is a small premium of $50 for these coins.

I have been adding the $5 gold commemorative coins to my collection recently. Many have low mintage #'s and can be acquired for a fraction of retail values listed only two years ago.

I just thought it was quite interesting that an obviously counterfeit coin was #2 on ebay's list (although I shouldn't be surprised, it just might be their #2 best selling gold coin!).

I sent it along to a Coin Category manager. He is on vacation right now but texted me back that he will take care of it when he gets back.
