I picked this up today and it's a stunner. I tried to take photos of it the best that I could. There are absolutely no visible marks on this coin with the naked eye and I only noticed any scratches/marks when I used a light and my camera to take these photos. I see 67RD 1934-D's are quite pricey and it may be a good candidate to send off. I honestly can't see this getting lower than a 66.

I've been using Heritage as comparisons.. Here's a 67 that sold: https://coins.ha.com/itm/lincoln-ce...bnail-071515

Don't know about the obverse spotting, mark infront of the chin, fingerprint by lower left wheat stalk, and nick above "O" on reverse to get it to 67. Definitively a 66RD.

Did some expanding on your pix. There's a lot of bag marks (red) and a few carbon spots (black) that will knock those grades down, A very nice coin that would nestle very nice between my 35 and 34 AU's!

I'd guess grade at MS-64 tops.

Yeah - I saw those chatter and carbon spots but for some reason PCGS/NGC seems to grade coins like that an MS66. I have an ongoing collection of MS66 Lincoln cents (PCGS/NGC) from 1930's-1960's, some I wonder how are graded 66's (those will or are going to be replaced! But coins in 2X2's and poor pics never yield the 66 from a PCGS

I don't think it'll make a 67, but very possibly MS-66RD.

Possibly whizzed? May just be how the light is hitting the coin. One of my favorite dates, though!

No - whizzed would have constant lines all over the surfaces as being exposed to a soft wire wheel.
Rest in Peace

with T-Bop on that one - 65RB. RB because of the reverse, especially upper right quadrant.
