I will be attending....An actual coin show in Alabama.

http://www.coinzip.com/central-alabama-coin-show

if there are any other Alabama numismatists around I will be looking for you. I am hoping to form or become part of a local group/club. It is hard to find other numismatists in this area (so far for me).

I am in Alabama and this is about 4 hours away (I am Gulf Coast). If I had paid attention and known earlier I might have been able to swing it.

I hope it is a great one!

I know this is a week later. The show was small but the vendors were great. There were around 15 vendors, did not remember to count. Unfortunately I had a $40 spending limit but I did pretty well with that. Below is what I managed with that:

6 Indian Head cents. These were actually the last purchase from a bucket at $1 each.
1893 VG, 1895 G, 1897 G, 1900 F, 1901 G, 1902 G.

5 Wheat Cents filling some holes
1909 G-06
1909 VDB G-06
1913 D F-12
1925 D F-15
1955 S BU MS-62 to 63 some weakness in the strike on the reverse but a good buy for $1

1943 Walking Liberty half VF-20
1963 FBL Franklin half BU MS-63 or 64

Not to bad for $40, I could have spent thousands but still had a good time.
