This is one small coin now,and not very easy to photograph. So sorry about the lousy pictures.I hope they are good enough. The luster is more apparent in hand than in the pic's. Grade and comments are all welcome.Grade given in a day or two.

AU 55. This is a good piece to compare against fakes. The color on yours is just beautiful.

Good color and luster and a better than average strike for this issue. There appears to be some minor damage beneath the wreaths knot on the reverse. The dies breaks off the 4th and 5th star are interesting. I think this is an MS coin and should make 63. Nice piece.

I'm at mid AU as well. One dollar gold are know for inconsistent strikes cause the coin was so thin you could normally see the details through each other. Especially type 2

Thank you for all the replies. With a 10x loop, just a touch of rub on the hair over the ear,and on the high points of the wreath, can be seen.Although I was unable to capture it in the photo's.NGC graded this one AU-58.

AU-58 seems to be right on.

The first close-up picture made it look like an MS-62. The second set of pictures of the whole slab makes it look like an AU-58. The intense light in the first set of pictures showed the marks, but not the rub.
