1919 Apostrophe Maybe? - Coin Community Forum

gidjit Pillar of the Community Canada 1980 Posts	Posted 03/13/2017 6:45 pm so I have this 1919 coin with a die chip (in descent shape too) that resembles a 1919 apostrophe that I have seen before, but there are a few more blobs on the coin, is this the right one just a later state? also how scarce are they? thanks Edited by gidjit 03/13/2017 6:48 pm Report this Post to the Staff

Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 03/13/2017 6:57 pm If you have two similar coins. one w/more "chips", that one is the later state of the same die. If you look close, there's actually a die crack connecting all these "dots". Just shows the deterioration happening, more and more is chipping off the edges along the crack, cool!
