It wasn't 1965. I just checked mine and 1909S, V. D. B. appears to be spelled correctly. I haven't seen the comma after 1909S in a while, but it is included in this printing.

They have more than one printings each year I think, so you may have the correctly spelled one for that year.

Trying to catch up with me. I have them all and all are the hard copy versions. Most have never been opened since I normally get a few ringed versions for looking things up. Not sure which one it is but one of the more famous editions had a page upside down or missing. Can't remember which one though. I always check out Salvation Army and Goodwill stores for more older ones. And don't forget if you go to page 437 in the 2017 edition, you can find out what Whitman thinks they are worth.

Whitman thinks my 6th edition is worth a lot more than I thought. Not selling it though, so do not ask.
