Hey everyone, I am new to coin collecting. I've only been doing it about a year, off and on. I love looking through half dollar rolls. I look through others too, but halves seem to be my favorite. I came across this 1995 P half dollar. There seems to be doubling on his face...is this correct? I'm completely unsure because I have found things in the past that I thought were errors but turned out it was just a die cast or something. Any information would be greatly appreciated!! *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I am no expert but a more clear close up pick will make it easier for the experts.

I definitely see what you're talking about, but agree that better photos will give the experts something more to go on. Looks promising to me, though. Good luck!

I'm crossing my fingers! I've been "SO SURE" in the past, but came up empty. Here is another try at a better picture. I will do it until you tell me its good to go!!

to the forum Molly! Check out "Coophome#" in the search box. He's the expert on these. What you have is MD, double hit, second bounce on strike. Coop's stuff will learn ya well!

Well, since I'm a new member I can't email anyone right now. I'll get some better pictures today. Can anyone give me some pointers on taking good close-up pictures? I apologize for being such a pain. Thank you for your help.

Ok, after literally hours of taking photo after photo, I think I finally got one that does it justice(I could definitely be wrong, and if I am, please let me know). Its hard to take a good picture when they all look like they are blurry!! Any information is greatly appreciated.

The pictures are catching a lot of glare. I use a low light, usually the one above my stove and zoom in on the spots I see problems with for the best results.

Ok, I'll try that. Thanks!

This looks like MD to me, but I've been wrong before. I have a couple of 1983 halves that have similar doubling to the left of the bust. What does it for me is the doubling on his eyes. I'll admit I was fooled by your first set of pictures -- less doubling looked more promising!
